RAMS is designed for outdoor professionals, teachers, and youth leaders who manage, oversee, endorse, plan, coordinate and/or conduct sports, outdoor adventure and expedition programmes for recreational and educational purposes. It provides essential knowledge and skills in planning such activities. The topics are aimed at providing participants with a deeper insight into safety awareness and risk management that will impact their own course designs. Particpants will learn the identification of Risk in all activities and strategies adopt to minimise it to an acceptable level.


The programme will be customised to the specific needs of the organisation or educational institution and with the intended applicability.

The range of topics that will be covered as theory and practice include risk assessment & management, legal issues, emergency & crisis planning, overseas risk management, standard operating procedures, engaging external agencies or volunteer leaders.
