Global Programmes

In response to the government's call for youths to broaden their horizons, OBS launched the Global Programmes to expose young people to foreign cultures and environments. Each programme is a box of tools for building confidence, leadership, tenacity and other personal attributes aimed at helping youths develop a more adventurous and enterprising attitude.

Through an international exposure the Global Programmes are designed to give youth a global outlook in life, aimed to inculcate an adventurous & enterprising spirit, and develop an international perspective. Participants can expect an experience that ranges from 8 to 26 days in an overseas centre.

The programmes are categorized into series of the Adventure Challenge Courses.

1. Adventure Challenge – A Global Perspectives

The Adventure Challenge programme takes secondary and tertiary students on exhilarating Outward Bound journeys to, Sabah , Perak , Brunei Darussalam , India , Mongolia , Philippines , Croatia , Taiwan and Australia .

In addition, student leaders will be challenged in more rigorous expeditions in deep snow conditions in South Korea , Japan and China . Through exposure to unfamiliar tropical and winter environments, participants will develop awareness of personal and group goal-setting, planning and coordinating as a group, team development and personal leadership styles.

2. Classic 21-Day Challenge – The ultimate of OB Experience

A mentally and physically demanding course that features an array of activities and challenges designed to develop young adults from 18 to 40 years of age and help them realize their potential. This classic 21-day Outward Bound programme employs the rustic environment of Pulau Ubin and the surrounding islands of Singapore as the classroom.

The programme uses the journey concept and allows participants to experience an array of elements and multi-expeditions which keep them on the move most of the time.

You can also choose to experience the Classic Challenge Course at an environment away from Singapore . OBS brings you all the way to South Africa ! This programme takes participants through mountain ranges, national parks, open -sea and river activities while being complemented by localised community engagement activities.

It will help participants develop their personal attributes and contribution in the context of a group while also exploring their leadership potential.

3. Other Customised Programmes

We specialized in team development, character development, and/or leadership development.

To meet the specific needs of our clients, OBS also customises programmes . We work closely with our clients to establish objectives, expectations, and desired outcomes, before arriving at the final programme design.

These programmes can be targeted at specific profile groups such as Gifted Education groups, Integrated Programme schools, International schools, Specialized Independent schools, School Staff Training (Teachers/ HODs /Principal) and many more.
