Character & Leadership Programmes

OBS Youth Programmes are designed to captivate the youth with an action-packed blend of adventures and surprises. As the participants move progressively through challenging problem-solving activities and expeditions, they develop competencies such as self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, relationship management and responsible decision making, which are aligned with the Ministry of Education's Social-Emotional Learning Framework.

1. Orientation & Induction Programmes - Esprit de Corps

Fully customized for newly formed school cohorts, the Orientation & Induction Programmes aimed to build greater understanding and cohesion, school or class spirit.

Its focus is on self and team discovery. “ Camp Discovery ”, a subset of this programme, is specially designed for Primary Four &/or Secondary One students where students are relatively new to each other in their cohort.

Other customised induction programmes can be designed in close consultation with our clients.

2. Character Development Programmes - My Outward Bound Journey

An Outward Bound programme is essentially an inward odyssey. More than an outdoor adventure, it's about exploring an individual's potential and learning to enhance personal and leadership qualities.

Through My Outward Bound Journey , one will gain different levels of experiences that emphasizes character building, teamwork and dealing with the unfamilar. One will also gain a familiarity with Challenge, Initiative, Tenacity and Personal Mastery.

The OBS Character Development Programmes is designed to offer in 6 main modules with each modules tagged to a specific level from Primary Four to Tertiary level, delivering specific outcomes at different levels so as to complement MOE's vision of moldings the youth holistically.

3. Leadership Development Programmes – A Leader's Journey

A Leader's Journey by OBS aimed to equip one with the knowledge and skills of leadership by developing the key characteristics and competencies of an effective leader.

Designed as individual modules, the Leadership Development allows personal growth as well as the acquisition of team management skills. A spectrum of leadership theories built into each module suitable for students as young as Primary Four. They included traits & styles of a leader and models of leadership are also used in the programme.

OBS uses the Dimensions of the Leadership Development as a guide to deliver these outcomes at different life stages.
