ABSEIL PROFICIENCY COURSE - LEVEL 3 (APC 3)
Qualifying course for Singapore National Abseiling Standard (SNAS)

The proficiency course aims to equip participants with sound technical, safety and risk assessment knowledge when conducting abseiling activities.

Course Date: 8 to 9 and 15 to 16 November 2008
Duration: 4 days, Residential / Over two weekend
Training Venue: OBS, Pulau Ubin Campus
Capacity: 8 persons (Maximum)
Course Fee: $ 684.80 (Inclusive of 7% GST)

Reporting Time/Place: 0815 am @ Punggol Point Jetty
Reg. Closing Date: 1700hrs, 17 October 2008, Friday

This fee is inclusive of:
- Training & assessment;
- Course materials;
- $30,000 Personal accident insurance coverage for each participant;
- Meals (Halal);
- 24 hours medical support;
- Dormitory accommodation;
- Use of OBS training course equipment & facilities; and
- Sea transport to and from Pulau Ubin.

APC 3 Course Prerequisites:
- Acquired APC level 2 certification
- Age 21 and above
- To be certified medically fit in the OBS registration form through a qualified medical practitioner. Applicant shall bear the costs of the medical examination.

Requirement to attain APC 3 certification
- 100% attendance
- Fulfilled written and practical assessment

*Note: Upon the completion of APC 3, you can register for the SMF- SNAS Instructor License (deemed competent to conduct abseil orientation activities, APC 1 and 2 Proficiency Courses).

OBS reserves the right to cancel the programme at any time prior to the commencement of the course. Your payment shall be returned by standard post to the address indicated on your Course Registration Form.
If applicant is unable to attend the programme, the applicant shall fill the vacancy with another participant, subject to the OBS acceptance of the medical fitness of that person for the course. The OBS will not admit any participant issued with a medical certificate for part or the entire period of the course.

To attain an SMF - SNAS Instructor License:
* License valid for 3 years
- Age 21 and above
- Acquired valid First-Aid Certification
- Acquired APC 3 Certification
- $50 fees payable to SMF
