When it comes to nurturing future leaders, an early start goes a long way
It’s never too early to start experiencing the spirit of adventure and learning in a safe environment. Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) offers courses for students aged 10 and above which complement the educational goals outlined by the Ministry of Education.
Discovery Camp (10 – 12 years old)
The Discovery Camp offers a unique camping experience in our tree huts/tents. It is designed to develop school spirit and promote bonding among students and teachers through activities like team games and higher impact activities such as ropes confidence courses and rock climbing. The fun and challenging activities allow students to explore and discover about themselves while, at the same time, helping them gel as a team.
Explorer Programme (10 – 12 years old)
The Explorer Programme is a residential course that features a short expedition to a nature park. It uses the outdoors as a tool to develop character and life skills while also imparting values that help to mould students into better persons and leaders.
This programmes aims to instill a sense of curiosity and spark off the desire to learn. Students will emerge with a ‘can do’ attitude, an appreciation of the value of cooperation and above all, care for their fellow students.
Young Leaders Programme (10 – 14 years old)
This programme emphasizes the fundamentals of leadership and team management and is thus suitable for prefects, class monitors and student leaders. Participants will take turns to lead and also be given the opportunity to manage their own time and resources. By incorporating elements of independence and interdependence, students get a chance to develop their problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Family Programme
The Family Programme gives family members the opportunity to take on many problem-solving and physical challenges together. The shared experience will prove valuable and memorable, resulting in a stronger family unit that strives to understand and appreciate one another. This programme is suitable for organizations such as Parent Support Groups in school, associations, corporations and Family Service Centres.
