About Us

Established locally in 1967, Outward Bound Singapore is part of the international network of Outward Bound centres, which has been set up to help participants learn about their capabilities in a fun and challenging outdoor environment. It is through activities like kayaking, sailing, rock climbing, orienteering and abseiling that participants learn news skills and at the same time, learn about teamwork and the value of tenacity.
While Outward Bound itself is well-established in many countries, Outward Bound Singapore has the distinction of having an 'Excellent' rating in terms of expertise, facilities and safety.
OBS is located on Pulau Ubin where it has two centres. It's an approximate 15-minute boat ride over from the mainland. A third centre is situated at East Coast Park and together, these three centres see a total of 23,000 people, comprising children, youth and adults, passing through each year.
